Jeff Cook
Head Coach, 2017 Hill Country Generals

Coach Jeff Cook is currently the offensive coordinator at South Pontotoc High School.  He is also serving as a volunteer assistant coach with Blue Mountain College baseball helping with recruiting.

Coach Cook helped the Columbus Falcons to 4 straight 6A playoff appearances.  In 2014, the Columbus Falcons were ranked as high as #8 in the USA Today Poll, #9 in the Collegiate Baseball Poll.  In 2014, the Falcons won their first playoff series in school history advancing to the North 6A Semifinals with series wins over Olive Branch and Clinton.  Coach Cook teams were 118-98 in the 8 years at Columbus.  During Coach Cook time at Columbus, 22 baseball players earned college scholarships to play baseball. He was named the 2014 Commercial Dispatch Baseball Coach of the year as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes District 4
Coach of the Year. In 2012, he was named the Division 2-6A coach of the Year. 

Coach Cook begin his career at Ripley High School and went on to serve as the head coach for 7 years.  During that time, the Tigers had a 135-85 record, with 2 division 1-3A championships.  The 2001 Tigers, were 29-8 and reached the North 3A finals.  13 Tigers that Coach Cook had the privilege of coaching signed baseball scholarships.

Coach Cook is a 1990 Graduate of Washington School in Greenville, MS.  Coach Cook played for former CSBL Coach Stacy Hester.  Coach Cook helped Washington School win two AAA State Championship and three North AAA Championships in Baseball.  Coach Cook was selected to play in both the Football and Baseball Mississippi All-Star Game in 1990.  He was selected as the North AAA Athlete of the year, and was elected to the Washington School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995.  After High School, Coach Cook played baseball at Northeast MS Community College and helped the Tigers to the 1992 North Division Title and was the 1992 State Runner-up.  He was selected to the All State MACJC team.  After NEMCC, Cook signed with Delta State, but finished with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Mississippi State University in 1994. In 2003, he finished his Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi.

Coach Cook is married to Paige Grisham, of Ripley.  Coach Cook and Paige are blessed with three wonderful children Mary Lauren, Jackson, and Caroline.  Coach Cook and family are actively involved at First Baptist Church, New Albany, MS.
